Be It Further Resolved, that LCLLA demands that OSHA greatly increase the number of inspectors who
speak languages other than English;
Be it Resolved, that LCLAA demands that Congress appropriate additional funding for enforcement of safety
and health laws in general and increased funding targeted to reducing fatalities, injuries and occupational
diseases among immigrant workers; and
Be it further resolved, that LCLAA demands that Congress legislate a strict time table for the promulgation of
all standards on OSHA's regulatory agenda as of 2001 and appropriate the funds so that needed standards be
issued; and,
Be it further resolved, that LCLAA demand that Congress enacts the Protect America's Workers' Act (HR
2049; S 1244) which increases civil and criminal penalties for certain OSHA violators , increased protections
for whistleblowers under OSHA;.and,
Be it further resolved, that letters be sent to members of congress and OSHA with copies of this resolution.
