November 1st - Latina Equal Pay Day
Sunday November 1st, will mark Latina Equal Pay Day, a symbolic date when Latina women’s wages “catch up” to that of non-Hispanic white men’s earnings from the previous year. Latinas are paid 54 cents to the dollar of what their non-Hispanic, white counterparts earn. This means it takes them almost an entire extra year of full-time, year-round work!
Let’s not wait until 2020 is over to start shedding light on this discriminatory and unfair wage gap! Take this pledge and join us in the fight for equal pay, as we work together to eliminate a problem that affects our mothers, sisters, daughters and friends.
By taking this pledge you will receive exclusive social media posts, captions, and tools that will help us disseminate information and push forward policies that can eradicate the wage gap. Take the pledge, join the fight for change today
