Unity and workers: the backbone of Unions

Unity and Workers: The Backbone of Unions

Querida familia LCLAA

In 2023, more than half a million workers from the auto industry, actors and actresses, trabajadores de hoteles, and restaurants staged nearly 400 strikes in the country. The outcome of these actions and the negotiations carried out by unions resulted in better contracts and salary increases.

That’s why it is crucial to remember the importance of unity and solidarity in our workplaces. When we come together as a united front, our voices are heard louder, and our fight for our rights is strengthened.

Unions not only provide us with protection and representation but also give us a platform to advocate for fair and equitable working conditions. Whether you're a flight attendant, a costume designer, a hotel worker, our strength lies in our collective action and voice.

Our individual voice is easily dismissed, but our collective voice wields strength beyond measure. Our work is not done, we must remember that unity is important and that unions need workers as much as workers need unions.

Unions are the voice of the workers. Without the dedication and support of workers, unions would be mere shells, devoid of the power and influence needed to enact meaningful change. In unity lies our strength, and together we can achieve even more to improve our lives and those of our families and communities.
