LCLAA Southern Worker Community and Labor Organizer
LCLAA is seeking a full-time, bilingual Community and Labor Organizer to anchor a concerted, intersectional campaign aimed at empowering immigrant workers in the Hyundai/Kia supply chain in Alabama and Georgia. The organizer will work closely with community partners, labor unions, and other stakeholders to reach and support immigrant workers, advocate for their rights, and foster meaningful change in the industry in Georgia, in the Atlanta area.
The Community and Labor Organizer is responsible for conduct outreach and engagement with immigrant workers employed in or near Hyundai/Kia production plants, construction sites, and temp agencies in Alabama and Georgia. Organize know-your-rights sessions, community forums, and other events to empower immigrant workers and educate them about their legal rights and protections. This is a salary position. The starting salary range is $55,000 - $60,000/year plus benefits.
