Communications and Policy Associate

The Communications and Policy Associate is responsible for carrying LCLAA’s message to the media, local and national leaders, membership, and to the public through various media outlets and communications strategies. The Communications and Policy Associate is responsible for the creation and implementation of an effective marketing and outreach strategy to support LCLAA’s mission, programs and campaigns, and increase the visibility of LCLAA and its local chapters.

The Communications and Policy Associate is responsible for all written communication to include but not limited to policy and research reports, statements, press releases, editorials, op eds, speeches, promotional/advertising copy, and social media messaging and posts. This is a salaried position. The starting salary range is $50,000 - $60,000/year plus benefits. LCLAA Southern Worker Community and Labor Organizer

LCLAA is seeking a full-time, bilingual Community and Labor Organizer to anchor a concerted, intersectional campaign aimed at empowering immigrant workers in the Hyundai/Kia supply chain in Alabama and Georgia. The organizer will work closely with community partners, labor unions, and other stakeholders to reach and support immigrant workers, advocate for their rights, and foster meaningful change in the industry in Georgia, in the Atlanta area.

The Community and Labor Organizer is responsable for conduct outreach and engagement with immigrant workers employed in or near Hyundai/Kia production plants, construction sites, and temp agencies in Alabama and Georgia. Organize know-your-rights sessions, community forums, and other events to empower immigrant workers and educate them about their legal rights and protections. This is a salary position. The starting salary range is $55,000 - $60,000/year plus benefits.
