EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Jose (he/him) served as the Secretary-Treasurer of LCLAA before taking the helm as its Executive Director. A former educator with a decades-long career in the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) serving in the poorest congressional district in the United States, Jose brings a wealth of labor movement experience to his leadership role at LCLAA. jvargas@lclaa.org

With over a decade of dedicated service to journalism, Carmen (she/ella) is a proud Salvadoran and a passionate advocate for human, women, workers and immigrants rights. She has tirelessly pursued stories that shed light on the struggles and triumphs of Latinos and communities striving for justice and equality. Bridget Nakamura
CHAPTER DEVELOPMENT AND FIELD COORDINATOR
Bridget (she/her/ella) is a proud granddaughter of Peruvian immigrants who migrated to America in pursuit of a better life. Raised by a single working-mother, She understands the importance of labor rights and unions in protecting the rights of Latinos. She recently graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology. Drawing upon her rich cultural heritage and academic background, Bridget is passionate about advocating for marginalized communities and promoting social justice and equality.
