Let’s continue fighting to achieve the dignity of the LGBTQ+ community

Querida familia LCLAA,

As Pride Month draws to a close, let's commit to continuing the fight for equality, tolerance, and acceptance for LGBTQ+ individuals every day.

The LGBTQ+ community deserves the same rights, protections, and opportunities as everyone else. Denying these rights is a violation of their humanity.

Achieving gender equality and securing LGBTQ+ rights are fundamental to realizing true justice and equity for all. Human rights are essential for the dignity and well-being of women, workers, and LGBTQ+ individuals worldwide.

However, as we approach the upcoming presidential election, we face significant challenges. Political forces are attempting to roll back the progress made through the labor movement and other social justice efforts.

These threats endanger the rights and protections that many have fought hard to secure, demanding our unwavering vigilance and resistance.

We must stand in solidarity, amplifying our voices and advocating for justice for all marginalized communities. By recognizing, addressing, and actively participating in the electoral process, we can work towards a more just and equitable society for everyone.

In Solidarity,

Evelyn DeJesus

LCLAA National President
