Honoring the Latino Heritage
Queridos hermanos y hermanas,
As Latino Heritage Month kicks off, we take this time to honor the incredible culture, history, and contributions of our community. Over the years, we have faced and overcome countless challenges and battles against injustice, unfair workplaces, and inequality in society.
Thanks to the strength and resilience of our community, we’ve made important strides for workers' rights and social justice in the last years.
This is why, today more than ever, we must honor those achievements and our rich heritage by defending them in the upcoming presidential election. Our community’s progress depends on our active participation and ensuring that the rights and needs of Latino workers continue to be respected and protected.
Let's stand together in unity and actively participate in the upcoming presidential election, which is a crucial democratic process to keep building an inclusive and better future para nuestras familias. Let's help others register to vote and encourage our loved ones to vote for candidates who honor our roots and represent the interest of the Latino community.
Let’s celebrate our heritage, and make our voices heard at the polls. Our past victories inspire us, and our future is in our hands.
In Solidarity,
Evelyn DeJesus
