A Win for Writers is a Win for Labor

Dear LCLAA Members and Allies,

In light of the recent tentative agreement achieved by the Writers Guild of America (WGA), LCLAA congratulates our union brothers and sisters who fought tirelessly for 146 days to improve their working conditions. By passing such resolutions, unions like the WGA demonstrate their commitment to advocating for the interests and well-being of their members, ensuring that they receive equitable treatment and benefits in a rapidly evolving industry.

The WGA agreements have shown us the power of unity and collective bargaining. They've secured fair compensation, provided protection against discrimination, and laid the groundwork for a more inclusive, equitable, and creative industry. But we cannot rest on these laurels. We must build on this momentum!

Even as we acknowledge the achievements of the WGA, we must capitalize on this stepping stone, ensuring that we continue this momentum and support all the major unions who are still fighting for better working conditions!

Let us rally together, stronger than ever as a united labor force, to ensure our industries remain fair, diverse, and dynamic. Let us push for even greater strides in the realms of fair compensation, safe working environments, and creative freedom. Whether it’s autoworkers, writers, or actors, we can all come together to create a future where every worker’s voice is heard and every story has a chance to change the world. This is our moment!

In solidarity,
