Be Informed and Prepared to Vote
Queridas hermanas y hermanos,
With only 11 days until the presidential election, the importance of the Latino vote cannot be overstated. The power to choose our leaders lies with us, the people—not those who seek to divide us.
As we get closer to Election Day, the lies, fear-mongering, and shenanigans of a powerful few will likely ramp up to dissuade voters from casting their ballots. These tactics are designed to discriminate against voters of color and thwart the will of the people. But remember, these anti-voter attacks are a mark of desperation, not strength.
it's crucial to stay informed specially about the threats posed by the Project 2025. If enacted, Project 2025 could open the door to increased racism, discrimination, and systemic oppression, undermining the progress we've made toward equality and justice.
Our voices are essential in electing a leader who will protect human rights. Our nation needs a leader who will united us and our community needs compassionate and just immigration policies that respect the dignity of every individual and protect families from being torn apart.
Be informed, be prepared, and help others get to the polls. This election is about our communities, our livelihoods, and our rights. We don’t need to fear participating. To make sure are registered and ready to vote check your information by visiting lclaa.org
Let’s show the world that the Latino community is powerful, resilient, and ready to shape the future.
In Solidarity,
Evelyn DeJesus,
LCLAA National President.
