Let's Stand Together for our Communities

Queridas hermanas y hermanos,

We want to take a moment to send our thoughts and prayers to all the communities who in recent weeks have been impacted by hurricanes and natural disasters. Today our brothers and sisters in Florida are facing a difficult time and some have been forced to evacuate their homes due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Milton. This is a tough situation for many, and it’s important that we come together as a community to offer support in any way we can.

Let’s stay in solidarity with those impacted—whether through donations, volunteering, or simply spreading awareness. Our strength comes from standing united, and together.

We are facing a crucial time in which we are shaping the future of our nation. Our country is 25 days far from the presidential election, one of the most important in history.

In this election, we need to think about the future we want to build for our children and the legacy we leave behind. Let's vote for candidates who prioritize human dignity, protect workers' rights, and stand against hate and division.

By voting, we are ensuring that our voices are heard and that those who seek to divide and oppress our communities don’t succeed. Our vote is the strongest tool we have to stop policies that criminalize immigrants, strip away worker protections, and undermine the progress we've made in civil rights and social justice.

As union members, we know the power of solidarity, and now it’s time to bring that power to the polls.

In Solidarity,

Evelyn DeJesus

Let's Support DACA

A ruling against DACA would have devastating impacts on individuals, communities, and key industries like healthcare and STEM. Long-term solutions are needed, and Congress must act now to protect DACA recipients and push for broader immigration reform. Take Action and Read our full statement HERE.
