celebrATING OUR ACHIEVEMENTS AND RECOMMITTING TO OUR FIGHT FOR LABOR RIGHTS

Celebrating our Achievements & Recommitting to our Fight for Labor Rights

Querida Familia de LCLAA,

January offers us an opportunity to reflect on the achievements and challenges of the past year. Let's celebrate our successes, learn from our experiences, and set the foundation for a year filled with growth and innovation.

As responsible and engaged members of our community, we recognize the importance of active participation in the democratic process. Voting is a fundamental right that empowers us to shape the future. In 2024 we encourage you to actively participate in the electoral process by registering and voting.

January also marks one year since the labor based deferred action enforcement came to place. This is a tool to protect non-citizen workers who speak out against unjust and exploitative workplace conditions. But, there is still much to be done to protect all workers, regardless of their immigration status, and to ensure that no employer is above the law.

Today, we reaffirmed our commitment to diversity, inclusion and the fight to defend workers rights and that’s why we are proud to announce the presentation of our new report: Latino Workers and Unions: A Strategic Partnership for America’s Success.

Our report focuses on the contributions and challenges that Latino workers face in the country. highlights the relationship between the Latino/a community and the labor movement, and discusses the importance and impact of organized workers. Join us and together we will continue to advocate and dedicate our efforts to educating, empowering, and mobilizing Latino workers to secure the fair and equitable work rights they deserve.

Thank you for your continued dedication.

In Solidarity,

Evelyn DeJesus

LCLAA National President
